The Damsel has heard of this before, especially with beans such as pinto, etc. Maybe they can be used for ammunition.

If kept long enough, you could cook them through the Millenium and they wouldn&#039;t get soft. :^0 Even in a pressure cooker.  Please don&#039;t ask how long is enough.  Let&#039;s just say it&#039;s something shy of forever.</description>

Haven&#039;t seen it in years on the shelves at stores. It has barley and either beef or lamb bits in it.</description>
