I'd like to teach my little ones more about making meals from scratch this year. I get busy and single minded in my kitchen, but this is a good reminder to keep the kids involved, too. I have never used a pressure cooker/canner before, and (if I'm being honest) they frighten me a little bit. But I'm determined to learn how to use it so I can further my home preserving skills. I also am determined to learn to make clothes this year. I have never made anything from a pattern, other than a quilt. Patterns, with their many tissue paper pieces, intimidate me. But I'm sure it will be easy once I actually sit down and do it. It's not like I have to make a wedding dress or something on my first try. Happy New Year, Damsel!
