This post is a bit of blog housekeeping. Just FYI.
The Damsel has been reading up on WordPress, which is the platform the Old School sits on. Apparently comments don’t work quite the way she thought.
The Damsel keeps her personal blog on LiveJournal. When someone comments, she is sent an email. When she comments back to that person, they are sent an email. The love gets shared. And then there’s Facebook, which, depending on your settings, emails you EVERYONE’S comments after you’ve made a comment.
The Damsel has been under the assumption that y’all get notification if she makes a return comment on the Old School as well.
Not so. The only way you’ll know if the Damsel (or anyone else) has commented on your comment is if you revisit the post and re-read the comment stream. Now the Damsel is fretting, because people frequently ask her questions, and she ALWAYS tries to answer them. But if you haven’t gone back to the post to check, you’d never know that.
The Damsel wouldn’t want anyone to feel their questions have fallen on unresponsive ears. So please do ask any questions you’d like, and then come back to the post to read the answers.
You’re also welcome to send her questions via twitter. Just type @elle_cosette somewhere in your question, and the Damsel will magically receive it. What a world!
