The Damsel hopes you’ll pardon a very personal post.
A well-known saying by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow goes, “Into each life some rain must fall,” and it’s raining over here at the cottage by the mountains.
Her grandson was born much too early. He was here for an hour or two and slipped back to heaven he so recently left, too sweet for this earth.
Rainy days like these require reaching out for the oldest skills Grandma ever taught–faith and prayer. Amidst all the talk of self-reliance, there comes a time when reliance on God is the only answer.
The Damsel’s favorite prayer she ever heard Grandma utter was “Make my back fit for my burdens.” God will do this, and he’ll even carry them. It’s easy to forget amidst the tears, but nevertheless it’s true. And it would be well for the Damsel to remember that tears are okay, too.

Much love!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You are so wise in the face of such sadness. “Time and the hour runs through the roughest day” is my watchword at moments like this.
Too sweet & too perfect for this world. He is one of God’s choice little Angels. Longfellow was also no stranger to grief & you are so very right in knowing that only God can heal these pains that we bear. He knows them as He has already carried that burden with us, for us. Angel baby had parents who God knew He could trust with such a special spirit, not just for now, but eternity.
I am here if you need to talk or to say nothing at all. Prayers & blessings of comfort to all of your family. My heart weeps with you. Love Always.
I am so sorry for your family’s loss. Words can not be enough but know that my family thinks of yours.

May you and your family feel the peace and warmth that only the Holy Ghost offers…and may it provide relief from the weight of heavy hearts.

Tears are always okay. We will be praying for your family.
Your Grandma is one smart cookie. And you are too. He will take our burdons, we just have to be willing to let them go and that’s hard, sometimes.
