I bought them once for snacks for the kids to hold. Being LDS as well, I don't drink coffee- so I had no reason to buy them before. However, when I did buy them, I was pleasantly surprised at how inexpensive they are for so many. Cheaper than napkins and easier than dishes for giving kids snacks. I'm going to pick up a pack next time I'm at the commissary and try some of these other tips. Thanks!

You can also use them for straining yogurt in making greek yogurt or yogurt cheese. Line a colander with cut-open coffee filters (so they are in one layer), pour in yogurt and place over a bowl to drain. If you want it to drain out more of the liquid, add salt to the yogurt first.

I heard the craziest thing also...some people...not me....actually use them for coffee. But I have actually heard some folks use them instead of a paper plate for snacks for kids or grandkids. Wouldn't it be great for popcorn or kettle corn or even those wonderful sugar coated nuts?

I like the bottom-of-a-pot idea to keep the dirt in. I used packing peanuts for awhile, but wasn't impressed with them. Can't wait for spring!
