Want to watch for the Knight in Shining Armor during Mormon Tabernacle Choir broadcasts? First, you’ll need to know what he looks like.

Aww! Look! A strong, brave, and handsome knight indeed. Here he sits waiting for one of their many performances to begin.

It will probably also help to know that he is the tallest guy in the choir. That means for effective knight-spotting, you’ll do best to check out the back row. He gets moved around now and then, but he hangs out on the back row most of the time.

(The Damsel also likes to brag that her Knight has the lowest voice in the choir. This has not been officially established but she welcomes all challenges and has no fear of losing any such dispute.)

Here’s a link to info on where and when you can watch the choir on TV or Internet. Mormon Tabernacle Choir

Wow! I would be so honored. I have always wanted to be in the choir, but lack the extensive knowledge and education, as well as the distance to drive from PHX! :) Anyway, I truly respect and admire the great knowledge and talent that is a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir!

He loves it! Well, we both do. I admit to being a choir groupie.

Fun! I already have fun spotting my old boss, as well as my high school choir director. I'll have to add your knight to my list! :)

How fun! I can see why you are so proud. You are so funny! I believe you about the Knight having the lowest voice and even if I did not I don't know if I would be up to challenge you. lol

    • http://intensedebate.com/people/the_damsel the_damsel

let me know if you see him!

  • http://www.sherristakes.com Sherri

What an amazing thing! Singing in the choir is a huge deal! You must be so very proud of him. They are a group of the most amazing & beautiful voices that grace this earth.

    • http://intensedebate.com/people/the_damsel the_damsel

Thanks, Sherri! I'm off to check out your blog :)

  • Kitty Golightly

I KNOW that he NEVER is where he is sitting in the picture.! Wish he were, we would get more
    "sightings".

    • http://intensedebate.com/people/the_damsel the_damsel

Art says he is most commonly on the back row, about 3/4 the way across on the right side. Sometimes he is on the FRONT row, right side. Hold still, Art! haha

  • oneclutteredbrain

Aww. Is this your man? :)
You should be proud that he in the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

You knight is a handsome fellow. I'll be looking on the back row next time I see them perform! Very cool that he is in the mo-tab choir.

  • http://beinglds.blogspot.com Jocelyn

Totally awesome! I'll be looking for him now! What a handsome husband you have. My dad's cousin's wife also sings in the choir…does your husband know Barb Cramer? I will now be keeping a look out for both of them, next Conference!

    • http://intensedebate.com/people/the_damsel the_damsel

I'll ask him if he knows Barb. He probably does!

There`s nothing like a good baritone voice for getting the ole heart a thumpin`!

  • http://fiverreasonstosmile.blogspot.com/ stef

NOw I will have to watch for the knight. Because Hubs is deaf, the chances of him EVER being in that choir are….ummm….pretty slim. What fun! Do you get to go with him when he goes on tour? I have always wondered about that.

    • http://intensedebate.com/people/the_damsel the_damsel

How about you being in the choir instead? :) I do get to go with him on trips if I pay my own way. IT'S THE BEST!!!! I love it.

  • http://ificould-ificould.blogspot.com/ Missy

Wow! I was so excited to see this post because my Hubby just made the choir. It is so fun to watch for him… now we'll have to watch for your main-man too! Too bad my hubby sings tenor, so they probably don't know each other yet!

    • http://intensedebate.com/people/the_damsel the_damsel

Yay! I hope you love it as much as we have. Email me his name?

      • http://ificould-ificould.blogspot.com Missy

Why can't I find your e-mail address?? Maybe because it's way past bedtime…

        • http://intensedebate.com/people/the_damsel the_damsel

I better make it more visible! It's mhovley at gmail dot com. Thanks for the heads up.

  • Ben Hovley

Your Knight looks familiar to me, hmmmn?

    • http://intensedebate.com/people/the_damsel the_damsel

      one of those faces, hmmm?

  • http://ificould-ificould.blogspot.com Missy

My husband just started in the choir this past Spring! It's so fun for the kids and me to watch him on Sunday mornings. He's a tenor! I'll have to keep my eyes open for your knight!

  • http://www.bradenbell.com Braden Bell

how cool! I love the game of spotting people in the choir and I don't know many anymore so this is good

    • http://intensedebate.com/people/the_damsel the_damsel

yay! Art loves to hear people are watching for him.

  • http://serenedesigns.blogspot.com Serene

How cool is that that he sings in the choir!!

    LOL, you're so cute.

    • http://intensedebate.com/people/the_damsel the_damsel

He's only got five more years till he \”ages out\” and we're already getting frantic about it. It's been a part of our lives for so long.

  • http://www.momoutnumbered.blogspot.com Danelle

Your husband in the choir is my clue that we will not be watching the same country club's fireworks. Our country club is in Colorado, which would be an awfully long commute for choir practice! :) Also, this country club is having their fireworks on Sunday, because we are out here in the "mission field," of course. Oooh, did he perform with them at Red Rocks? Not that I was there, but I wish I had been.

    • http://intensedebate.com/people/the_damsel the_damsel

Ahh! You are a great sleuth. And yes, he did perform at Red Rocks. He loved it!

  • http://muumsmusings.blogspot.com Muum

hey, my guy is in the MoTab, too! A bass. (the cute one in the suit) Small world.

    • http://intensedebate.com/people/the_damsel the_damsel

hahaha I know just the guy.

  • Alison Caughey

I am wondering if the Knight knows my friend Shauna Humphries, who also singing in the choir. Her husbands family are close frinds and I grew up with them :)

    • the_damsel

Alison…I finally got Art to look at this email, haha….he says he has seen Shauna around but doesn't know her that well. Neat that you grew up with them!Margot
