Longtime students of the Damsel know that one of the subjects discussed at the Old School is preparedness.

The Damsel was asked to review a product from a food storage company called Tomorrow’s Harvest. She’d like to think that the request came because of her prestigious reputation as a preparedness advocate. She suspects that it was mostly because she has a mouth and is willing to taste/eat food.

The folks at Tomorrow’s Harvest sent the Damsel a sample. This she dutifully fixed (easy, but would have been easier if the directions were better) and then ate. (The directions have since been improved.)

She was given the Pasta Primavera sample. It looked pretty small when she looked at it lying there in the pan, and if you must know, the Damsel laughs on a regular basis at “serving sizes” listed on food packaging. 3/4 cup of cereal for breakfast? Um. No. So she was pleasantly surprised that the sample was actually delicious and quite filling.

Tomorrow’s Harvest has a lot of products that are designed to make buying food storage simple. You give them money, they give you prepacked food that is easy to store and prepare. They have other stuff, too…tools, water purification, etc. to help you feel more self sufficient.

If you’d like a taste for yourself, go to their website and sign up for a free sample.

We are all about food storage here at Chez VanderHorst. I’ll have to check them out!

I’m going to go check it out right now. How did you feel about the ingredient list? That is one of my issues with this kind of product in general is the amount of non-food things on the ingredient list.

Excellent point. I asked about this specifically, because the sample didn’t include any ingredient information. They say the actual packaging will have complete information, and I believe the website has that info as well.
