hey margot! i meant to ask you tonight if you've thought of doing a post on dry beans! my sister in law called me the other day and said that she knows nothing about how to cook/eat/do anything with dry beans (except make bean bags!) i thought that is totally an "old school" post! anyway, thanks for the fun!

Hi Stacie! That was fun…I have a couple of posts on dry beans…one on split peas and one on white chili, but you are absolutely right that I need MORE. To find the posts, type “beans” into the search bar at the top right. Let me know…

Dear Damsel  Thank You so much for your comments on Mint!!! My 17 year old daughter Amanda grew 3 kinds of mint in her garden square this year.  Needless to say we are blessed with abundance (I’m Willing to share). and are learning to make many things with mint.  I can’t wait to tell her about the oils   Thanks so much, your new student,  Isabel

Thanks! I’d love to know about any great new uses you come up with. The mint is taking over! Again!

Hi Damsel ~ Have you used your oil against bugs and how?  To what success?

    • thedamselindisdress

I have used it against ants and it’s true, they really didn’t want to cross the line. I had to reapply it every few hours, though, until they finally decided to give up on my house. I’ve heard “real” essential oil works better and lasts longer but hey, this was free. :)
